Our Priest
The Revd Elivered Mulongo
Elivered grew up in Kenya where she joined the seminary at age 19 and was ordained in Kenya.
Elivered's ministry at St. Paul's is therefore rooted within two cultural contexts. Elivered is a Graduate of
St Paul's University in Kenya and Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. Elivered has worked as Associate Priest
and Parish Priest both in Kenya and Canada. Elivered taught as College Lecturer for 2 years and Bible translator
with the Bible society of Kenya for 5 years. As translator, Elivered was behind the translation of the JESUS FILM
and the BUKUSU BIBLE in her Native Bukusu Language. Elivered has authored articles on the Bible, Theology, Women,
Post colonialism, Language and Translation. She looks forward to completing her Doctorate in Biblical Studies at the
Toronto School of Theology. Elivered speaks 4 East African languages and has a written understanding of French, German,
Greek and Hebrew. Elivered is married to Dr. Joseph Mulongo and they have three children. In her free time,
Elivered enjoys reading children's story books, visiting with people, shopping and entertaining.
